Why the switch to CVT?
What happened to make Inge switch directions in the last few years?
In 2005 Inge thought about stopping with music and her singing career. There were too many unanswered questions from students and her own songs were a bit stuck. The lessons were becoming harder and Inge was enjoying herself less and less.
Some of the women in Inge’s choir ‘Twang’ mentioned a weekend workshop with Cathrine Sadolin. Together with Michon and Annemarie (Twang & CalanMai), Inge attended the two-day CVT introductory weekend at the conservatory in Utrecht. From the first moment, Inge was ecstatic! Cathrine Sadolin was able to break Inge free from the things that were holding her back, and more importantly, started a new period of study!
Inge was able to pay for the study with a blessing in disguise: a bicycle accident that resulted in the payment of an unexpected premium.
In February 2006, Inge began a 1-year study in Utrecht.[image source_type=”attachment_id” source_value=”419″ align=”left” icon=”zoom” lightbox=”true” size=”small” width=”80″ height=”185″ autoHeight=”true”]
The year consisted of six three-day seminars, after which, Inge studied in Copenhagen for three years. Each of these three years also consisted of six seminars, however this time, they were four days each. After graduating in 2009, Inge could not say goodbye to the fantastic institute where she had learned so much and was fully re-inspired to pursue her music and singing career. Most important were both the concrete techniques and the philosophy from the CVI Institute. She became friends with many of the international students and went on many musical adventures.
In 2010, Inge took the Advanced Soloist II training and wrote her first 5 songs.[image source_type=”attachment_id” source_value=”424″ align=”right” icon=”zoom” lightbox=”true” size=”small” width=”185″ height=”185″]
Inge continued with the same training for another year because the inspiration in Copenhagen was so abundant that she wanted to continue studying. In each seminar, Inge wrote another song, and in the end, Inge had enough to make an entire CD full of original songs. Inge hopes to present the CD in 2013.
Inge rekindled her inspiration through her six years of study. She’s grown tremendously as a singing instructor and her practice is flourishing like never before. Her choirs have also received national recognition.
Together with KNO-doctor Marco Franken, she gives emergency assistance and helps singers and lecturers with their voices. She also coaches, and leads workshops and a number of diverse groups. She is also active in a number of groups and bands, as well as producing her own songs.

Inge is grateful for her fellow students in each group of her training: so many lovely people, so much music, so much friendship and inspiration!
